(NL) "Mooi Palmzondag Concert in Amsterdam"
"Rond Pasen brengt saxofonist Henk van Twillert traditiegetrouw zijn geliefde interpretaties van het werk van Johann Sebastian Bach ten gehore. Dit jaar vindt het concert plaats op Palmzondag, de laatste zondag voor Pasen en het begin van de Goede Week – een periode van bezinning waarin de intocht van Christus in Jeruzalem wordt herdacht.
Tijdens dit bijzondere concert klinken onder meer hoogtepunten uit de Matthäus-Passion, een werk dat al jarenlang een vast onderdeel vormt van Van Twillerts Paasconcerten in Amsterdam. Ook de beroemde Cello Suites van Bach staan op het programma, speciaal bewerkt door Henk voor baritonsaxofoon, waarmee hij de rijke klankwereld van deze meesterwerken op verrassende wijze tot leven brengt.
Het emotionele hoogtepunt van de avond wordt gevormd door Erbarme Dich, een intens ontroerend koraal waarin Bach de diepste menselijke gevoelens van berouw en hoop verklankt. Deze ingetogen passage nodigt het publiek uit tot reflectie en raakt de ziel als een stille oproep tot genade en vergeving.
Een intiem en ontroerend concert dat de luisteraar meeneemt op een muzikale reis door verdriet, hoop en bezinning – een onvergetelijke ervaring in het hart van Amsterdam. "

Vinyl album & CD
PERPETUUM MOBILE

​​The vinyl album “Perpetuum Mobile” was recorded by saxophonist Henk van Twillert with partita No. 2 for violin in D minor by Johann Sebastian Bach on baritone saxophone.
Along with the vinyl record, Henk added a CD with the music on the vinyl and an extra track with an arrangement by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy of “Chaconne” performed by Baritone Baroque Collective.

Johann Sebastian Bach Cello Solo Suite N.1 ( BWV 1007) - Prelude  with Companhia de Bailado Contemporâneo Portuguesa.
Choreographer: Rita Judas 

Henk van Twillert plays the cello suite form cello from J.S. Bach on the baritone Saxophone. The show was named "Azul". Rita Judas was the choreographer, performed by dancers from the "Companhia de Bailado Contemporâneo Portuguesa". It was performed in Lisbon, São Luiz Theater on 12 December 2002.

BachAsana by Henk van Twillert & Jacintha Meilink

It was in the summer of 2000 that Henk van Twillert recorded on his baritone saxophone the J.S. Bach's six cello suites on CD. 
Since then, Van Twillert has performed the cello suites on the baritone saxophone several concert halls and music festivals around the world, including concertgebouw in Amsterdam and Newport Festival, USA.
In addition to solo concerts, Henk van Twillert, combined the interpretation of the cello suites with others Arts, such us, ballet, live VJ and Gary Smulyan's "jazzy"accompaniment. 
"BachAsana"... had its debut in Portugal at FISP 14.
The birth of the project "BachAsana" was in New York where Henk lived and had his first contact with Yoga. 
Back in Europe his first class at the Bikram Yoga Amsterdam studio was with Jacintha Meilink...
